About
Sarahann Swain is a writer specializing in poetry and short fiction, as well as a jack-of-all-trades artist. She earned her Masters of Fine Arts at Columbia University and lives in New York with her exceptionally large dog, Dante.
In her free time, she volunteers as a tutor helping students in the Double Discovery program at Columbia University.

Specializing in poetry and short fiction, Sarahann's work intentionally applies myth and technological advancements to examine cultural questions: What is art? What role does technology play in framing personal and cultural identities? What role does myth play in contemporary society? What methods can writers use to hold conversations between distinct times in history? How does one capture the ineffable on the page?
If we are unhappy with our answers to these questions, what role does a poet have in changing them?
